A man dressed like a ninja has admitted to authorities that he tried to burn down an adult store because he felt God would appreciate his actions.
Benjamin Daniel Warren, 20, faces up to six years in prison after he turned himself in to authorities for setting the Town and Country bookstore on fire on Jan. 31, according to WBIR-TV. Investigators said Warren admitted ordering the store clerk to leave the shop by using a fake gun and then pouring six gallons of flammable liquid to start the fire, resulting in $900,000 worth of damage.
Warren had been enrolled at Crown College at the time.
College President Clarence Sexton said Warren dropped out weeks after the incident and that recently, someone approached Sexton about Warren being involved in the fire, prompting his call to police earlier this month.
Sexton said Warren confessed the crime to him, explaining that he felt that pornography had corrupted a lot of people and families that he needed to do something to combat it. Sexton added that Warren realized he was wrong and must now suffer the consequences.
