Director James Avalon has completed major casting for James Avalon’s Dark Side, the first feature from newly formed Red Light District Films.
Penny Flame has the leading role in the erotic fantasy, playing a woman who gets memory implants that go seriously haywire, causing her to behave in ways she’s not supposed to.
Avalon, who recently directed Flame in an upcoming title for Adam & Eve Pictures, calls her “a great sex performer.” She’s scheduled for three sex scenes.
Also cast are Hilary Scott, Dillan Lauren, Brandi May, Kelly Wells, Holly Wellin, and newcomer Sunny Lane, a former pro ice skater.
The male leads are Randy Spears, Herschel Savage, Billy Glide — all veterans of several Avalon features — with the major non-sex part of a mad scientist taken by industry veteran Bill Margold.
Still to be cast are roles for a sex club sequence involving multiple couples.
The production, shot on Super 16 film, goes before the cameras for four days beginning May 16. It is gonzo giant Red Light's first entry into the feature market and first shot on film product.
In June Avalon will shoot his second RLDF feature, Sex Pix, a mystery along the lines of Memento. In July he’ll direct a porn industry comedy, Bustful of Dollars, about a gonzo shooter who gets a chance to make a big Western.
