LOS ANGELES—Adult producer Maestro Claudio and performer Ashley Lane “added a splash of holiday spirit and surreal satire” to the latest episode of HBO’s The Chair Company, which aired Sunday, November 9.
The surrealistic comedy series debuted on October 12, and will release episodes through November 30. Created by writers Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, the series’ premise is described as “the story of William Ronald Trosper, who begins investigating a vast and elaborate conspiracy after an embarrassing workplace incident.”
Episodes are currently available on the HBO Max and Hulu streaming platforms.
In the new episode, “I Won. Zoom In," the story follows Trosper (palyed by Robinson) as he unravels the strange corporate conspiracy. Maestro Claudio plays literary character Ebenezer Scrooge alongside adult star Ashley Lane (as the Ghost of Christmas Future) for the episode’s final beat—"a twisted nod to 'A Christmas Carol' that fits right into the show’s bizarre rhythm,” a representative for Claudio said.
Claudio added, “It was surreal and hilarious to show up as Scrooge in the final moments of The Chair Company. The parody twist was absurd in the best way, and Ashley made the whole thing pop. I love that our scene ends the episode—it’s weird, it’s memorable and it fits the show’s spirit perfectly.”
