Ami, a Virginia woman who wrote to BlueDoor columnist Tristan Taormino seeking advice about how to have an "explosive threesome," was named the winner of a contest co-sponsored by the adult DVD sales and rental company and Vivid-Ed, an educational branch of Vivid Entertainment that is helmed by Taormino.
Ami won the all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles (which will occur next week during filming of the instructional DVD The Expert Guide to the G-Spot) by submitting to Taormino's weekly BlueDoor column "Tristan's Room" a question about how to have an "explosive threesome." In addition to getting to hang out with the stars of the DVD, she will sit in on a real sex workshop and take an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek at how Vivid-Ed titles are made.
"I am thrilled about winning this trip to California," Ami said. "I'm very excited to meet Tristan in person and soak up all of the sexual education and instruction."
The contest was launched in April in conjunction with the debut of "Tristan's Room," a weekly sex-advice column and interactive question-and-answer section written by award-winning author, columnist, editor, and sex educator Taormino. Taormino selected the winning question after sorting through hundreds of questions that were submitted for the contest.
"I received lots of smart, fascinating questions, but something about the details in this question intrigued me," she said. "It was thoughtful and challenging."
