Paul Interlandi’s Lifestyles Convention series, from Lifestyle Videos and Freedom Distributing, was named Best Media Production at the sixth annual Windy Clitty Awards last weekend. The event was the climax of the yearly convention of Chicago Adventure, a swinging lifestyle organization.
“We’re very happy to have people in the lifestyle voting for us,” Interlandi told AVN.com. “We were up against the VH1 special on swinging, a very popular special that plays all the time on VH1.”
Interlandi said there are three volumes in the R-rated, non-explicit series — Lifestyles Vegas, Lifestyles Reno, and Lifestyles Miami —and he’ll have two more ready in time for the Adult Entertainment Expo in January.
The Windy Clitty presentation drew 250 people, and, according to Interlandi, was covered by video crews from the Oprah Winfrey and 20/20 shows, both of which have upcoming segments on the swinging lifestyle.
Voting in 13 categories is done online by people on Chicago Adventure’s substantial mailing list, according to Sue Gould, who, with her husband Ron, are the organization’s founders and owners.

“We were looking for a gimmick for the convention” (a weekend of seminars and workshops), Sue said, “and we came up with the Windy Clitty Awards.” The trophy is “actually a cast of someone’s vagina.”
Among the other winners, SwingVillage.com was named Best Internet Site, and Hedonism III won Best Resort for the third year in a row.
Friendship Express won for Best Publication, and Davin and Ronna from SwingVillage were named Best Couple. Awards were presented for Best Deejay, Best Vendor, Best Entertainer, Best Event, Best Off-Premise Club and Best On-Premise Club.
A Lifetime Achievement award was given to Bob Lindsay of Scoreboard Magazine. The Booby Award went to the Chicago Tribune for its expose of Illinois politico Jack Ryan. It was accepted by a Tribune delivery boy, Interlandi said, since no one in management was willing to attend.
“We’ve been doing this for six years, and every year it just gets better, and bigger, and more fun,” Sue said.
