Licensed Version of 2257-Compliance.com Released

A licensed version of 2257-Compliance.com has been released, following increasing demand that came after the company's remote-service version of its 2257 compliance software solution was tested and offered earlier this month.

“We’re offering the licensed version in response to market demand,” said vice president of marketing Quentin Boyer, announcing the release. “A significant number of people who evaluated the product told us that they would love to see our solution available to them for in-house use. We listened and responded.”

Called TrueCompliance, the licensed version offers a comprehensive 2257 compliance package that lets content producers toe lines imposed by the new and more rigid 2257 record-keeping requirements that became effective earlier this month.

The company said TrueCompliance is designed to ensure records kept by producers conform strictly to the new regulations "by assuring the creation and storage of those records [separately] from all other records of the producer, and that all the required indexing and cross-indexing of records is maintained in a fully automated fashion."

Boyer said numerous people who reviewed the original remote test version also asked if 2257-Compliance.com planed to build a content management solution, but the company has no plans to do that – right now.

"We would love to, but we simply can’t," Boyer said. "The regulations specifically require that all 2257 records must be ‘segregated from all other records, and shall not be contained within any other records.’ If we were to add a content management feature to the product, our customers would be in immediate violation of section 75.2(e) of the regulations."

TrueCompliance wasn’t rushed to market. "We wanted to ensure that it went though a rigorous testing process, and we solicited and accepted recommendations from our beta group for enhancements," Boyer said. "As a result, we have a stronger product which satisfies all the complex cross-referencing requirements, but is still intuitive and easy to navigate.”
