Lee Bang calls himself “the Don King of porn,” referring to the notorious boxing promoter who is known for his wild hair and making outrageous comments when promoting a fight.
But what Bang trumpets daily is a group of porn girls who are signed on with his relatively new talent agency, Valley Babes, which can be found online at xxxvalleybabes.com.
The 40-year-old, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native started driving girls to sets three years ago – at first helping out his neighbor – before deciding to branch out on his own with a roster of girls that now includes up-and-coming starlets Sophie Dee, Mysti May and Gianna.
“I’m more hands-on than most of the agents in the business. There’s not a company in the business that doesn’t know me. I go from 7 in the morning until 7 or 8 at night,” said Bang, who prides himself on making regular, sometimes daily visits to about two dozen companies throughout Porn Valley trying to get his girls hired. “I’m around. People see me every day. You have to be a people person. If you are genuine and do business on a professional level, it shows.”
Bang says he wants his girls to build their careers under his tutelage.
“These girls must be on time. Usually, my girls are 15 to 20 minutes early,” he said.
Bang has also begun performing part-time, for companies such as Zero Tolerance, Kick Ass Pictures and Red Light District, which are also among his top clients.
“I’m trying not to work too much [in scenes]. I schedule that more around the girls,” he said, adding that he is also directing his first video, an interracial title for Anarchy Films.
Zero Tolerance producer Travis Nestor said he has a strong rapport with Bang.
“We have conducted business with Lee and Valley Babes for some time now,” Nestor told AVN.com. “His girls have always been professional, beautiful and are always a joy to work with. Lee and his staff have made themselves available to us any time, day or night and we look forward to working with Valley Babes for a long time.”
Bang told AVN.com that being around porn girls was a bit of a shock at first, given what he was used to in Oklahoma City.
“I had never been around California girls who are so open sexually,” he said.
A veteran member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Bang first came to LA as an aspiring actor, and still works regularly in various bit parts. Among his credits are roles on “24,” “CSI” and “ER.”
“I usually play lawyers, cops and detectives,” he joked.
Bang is also a basketball player and a serious golfer with a 3-handicap.
