Lavender Lounge Studios has re-launched a premium gay adult interactive website, MuscleBearCub. According to the developers, the site will have a community focus.
MuscleBearCub has been rebuilt from the ground up, incorporating better navigation, more frequent updates, and faster loading, a company representative said. It features free personal ads, free discussion forums, and free video chat, allowing "bears" and "cubs" to connect.
"Of all the social subcultures within the community, the bear community seems to be the most cohesive and fun loving," MuscleBearCub webmaster Mark Kliem said.
Kliem said he expects the site not only to be a hit with established bear fans, but also with crossover fans "who get turned off by the super heavyweights that are so predominant in bear porn."
Instead, "MuscleBearCub has a VIP room with photo and video galleries made specifically for guys who like sexy men with hairy chests and muscles," Kliem revealed.
A launch party and model-recruitment event, the Mr. Muscle Bear Cub Contest, is scheduled for 11 p.m., June 22, at the Lone Star Saloon in San Francisco. The winner will receive $500 and be featured in a special layout on MuscleBearCub.
