YNOT Vice President Jay Kopita, known on the boards as “LAJ,” has announced he will be leaving the site’s “Humpday Lunch Radio Show.”
Kopita has acted as co-host of the 90-minute online show along with YNOT Payment’s Bob Rice, aka YNOT Bob, for the past five years. The show features a variety of online interviews with industry professionals, from adult stars to some mainstream political figures.
“Things are still status quo, and I’m very busy with YNOT’s advertising. But, after doing the show for five years, I feel my time with it has run its course,” says Kopita. “Creatively, I’ve been in a rut, and I figured I’d like to end my participation on a high note.”
Kopita will continue in the VP role for YNOT, along with his duties in the marketing and ad sales department, radio ad sales, and as chat administrator.
The now former co-host cites his increasing involvement as Cybernet Expo director as a key reason for quitting the show. Kopita wears a number of hats throughout the online adult industry: This year, he started work as a marketing consultant with Eric M. Bernstein & Associates, which regularly attends and exhibits at online industry trade shows. Kopita also manages public relations for BDSM community site Bondage.com.
“I want to thank Bob, the YNOT Radio staff, past producers, all of the listeners, guest hosts, guests, and sponsors over the years for your involvement and support of the ‘YNOT Humpday Lunch,’” Kopita issued in a YNOT board post, where he added that listeners can expect a special YNOT “spotlight” hour to be launched in the next few weeks along with additional future radio shows.
