GLENDALE, Calif. — Kick Ass Pictures’ Crock of Love, a spoof of the popular VH1 reality series Rock of Love, hits the streets on August 4.
Crock of Love is the story of aging rocker Brüte Michaels, a hard-rocking icon of the ’80s “hair metal” era. In an attempt to find true love, Brüte invites a group of camera-friendly attention whores to his mansion in the hills, where he systematically runs them through rigorous tasks involving little or no clothing in order to find the perfect match for his bad-ass self.
A long-haired Evan Stone plays Brüte under a generous layer of guy-liner, gaudy bandanas and age-inappropriate cowboy hats, at points crooning stale hits to over-sexed drama queens roughly half his age.
Kick Ass Pictures has captured the essence of Rock of Love and boiled it down to its most elemental moments: rose ceremonies, bitchy girl fights, emotional testimonials and fame-hungry women baring their souls (among other things) as they try to scratch, claw and sleep their way into Brüte’s life.
Just like any lonely rocker, Brüte has decided that the best way to find his soul mate is to fill a house with beautiful young women and have a camera crew record every debauched act they’re capable of. Hair pulling, hissy fits and drunken revelations are just the tip of Brüte’s iceberg. These women will stop at nothing for their moment in the spotlight of reality TV glory.
Crock of Love releases simultaneously on DVD and Blu-ray. The movie also stars Andy San Dimas, Natalia Rossi, Nikki Rhodes, Aiden Star, Victoria Lawson, Misty Stone, Mikey Butders and Justin Long.
