GLENDALE, Calif. - Kick Ass Pictures is cashing in on former contract girl Mary Carey's "Celebrity Rehab" stint with Totally Mary, a previously unreleased feature shot just prior to Carey's split with the company.
“We kept this movie in the can, waiting for a time when Mary re-entered the media spotlight," said Kick Ass president Mark Kulkis. "That’s happened with her current star turn in 'Celebrity Rehab' on VH1. I think her fans will appreciate seeing this never-before released movie when she still had her amazing, natural tits.”
Totally Mary is a parody of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, originally produced under the working title Kill Mary. The movie co-stars Marie Luv, Jassie, Sunshine and Vic Sinister.
"Everyone loved the Kill Mary title, but after we parted ways it sounded like it would smack of bad vibes, which there weren't," Kulkis told AVN. "Since she was known for Totally Busted 2, we decided to go with Totally Mary."
Kulkis created the Mary Carey phenomenon, masterminding her run for California governor in 2003. Shortly after shooting Kill Mary, Carey got breast implants and left the Kick Ass fold for Legend Video.
"She did this movie, and she took some time off to dance," Kulkis explained. "Then she was doing a photo shoot and I asked the photographer to shoot some extra stills for me. He sent them over and I was looking at them and thinking, what happened to her breasts? I called Mary, and she said, 'oh, can I come in and talk to you, Mark' That's when I knew she had gotten the implants."
Carey is just one of four 'Celebrity Rehab' stars who have been seen in porn videos. Wrestler Joanie "Chyna Doll" Laurer and 'American Idol' contestant Jessica Sierra were featured in celeb sex tapes, and 'Family Matters' star Jaimee Foxworth dabbled in porno under the name 'Crave' with appearances in Sugarwalls and Black Dirty Debutantes.
Asked for his take on Carey's 'Celebrity Rehab' role, Kulkis remarked, "I wonder if others watching it might think that’s sort of a manufactured character; me, I know that’s actually the way she is. I always thought she'd get her little slice of fame, and I guess this is it."
