MESA, Ariz.—Kick Ass Pictures will halt production as a precaution to the spread of the COVID-19.
“Performer safety and comfort has always been our main priority and will continue to be," said Kick Ass's Melissa Campos. "With the Coronavirus continuing to spread we feel it is our responsibility to keep our performers safe."
The Kick Ass network of sites will continue to update with content shot prior to the shutdown, remastered classics and shared content from other studios in the industry. Following suit with other events and closures, Kick Ass will stop production until the end of March and then re-evaluate the situation with the option to extend the shutdown if necessary.
“I know that some of our members and fans will be disappointed but right now all we can think about is the safety of those that shoot for us," said affiliate manager Micky. "We ask our current members to be patient and enjoy the content that we will be putting up for them. We did not come to this decision lightly but we hope our members will ride out the storm with us.”
