Kelly Holland Hosts 13th Vice Is Nice 'Party With a Purr-Pose'

LOS ANGELES—Longtime adult industry veteran Kelly Holland presented the 13th edition of her popular fundraiser, Vice Is Nice, on July 19, to raise funds for her animal rescue organization, The Animal Rescue Alliance, also known as TARA.

The annual party on Saturday evening, held in the tranquil, four-acre Rancho Providencia, tucked away in the hills of Santa Susana Pass, brought out a few hundred guests. The ranch not only serves as the site of TARA but is also Kelly’s home, which she graciously opened for the gathering. “The money raised tonight goes for running the no-kill ranch as well as for vet bills that we frequently cover," Holland said. "We rescue goats, horses, donkeys, parrots and geese, cats and dogs and let many of the cats roam freely on the property.”

Guests encountered many of these furry friends at the event, which raised over $50,000 through ticket sales and raffle prizes generously donated. Many participated in the fundraising poker games, where the tables were continuously packed with players.

Jamey Bell, medical director for adult industry testing site, PASS, shared, “It’s my fourth year here and I even adopted a kitty from here! I love supporting Kelly and her important mission.”

Director Fivestar added, “It’s great to come here because it’s like a reunion for the industry folks.”

The relaxed atmosphere, under glowing string lights and spotlights on the many gardens, created a welcoming place for guests of all backgrounds to share their love and support for Kelly’s mission. Evan, who adopted two cats from TARA, noted the mystical and spirituality essence of the location, sharing his cats continue that spirit. “They’re black cats and I think they really embody the good they learned here.”

Adult stars Alexandra Silk and Misty Rain brought in the industry OG spirit, commenting that it was Misty’s first time at the event. “I’ve been coming for years,” Alexandra shared, “and knew Misty would love it. We see people we haven’t seen in forever.” Misty immediately nodded in agreement.

Popular director Luc Wylder said, “It’s the party of the year to see familiar faces and legends in the business. I love the relaxed, social setting of this party and never miss it.”

First Amendment lawyer, Jeffrey Douglas, has been attending the event for over five years, noting, “It’s such a good vibe here, so much that I ended up adopting two cats from Kelly years ago. I love supporting her mission and encourage others to do the same throughout the year.”

Tim, a multi-year volunteer, was excited to share his insights on the annual party. “It seems that this year, the veil of fears around COVID has lifted and people are really relaxed and having a great time.” He continued, “I love the vibe, the dancing, the food and drinks, the outpouring of love and support for Kelly and how it’s so important for the community. I will never miss it!”

The evening wrapped up with many happy attendees holding their cherished raffle prizes as well as the promise of even more animals to be adopted. “I never miss this” was heard as everyone left smiling and glad they helped TARA in so many ways.
