LOS ANGELES—Adult star and influencer Kazumi is releasing a new fashion venture, described as “an unprecedented vulva-shaped footwear,” with apparel brand Rose in Good Faith.
The shoes, named V. Mule, will be available tomorrow, Friday, February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Produced using advanced 3D-printing technology, the V. Mule is designed and conceptualized by Rose in Good Faith’s brand director Carlos Hernandez in close collaboration with Kazumi, “merging technology, anatomy and emotional commentary into a single sculptural object,” a representative said.
The V. Mule is offered in two models—"one more closed and protective, and the other more open and expressive.”
Both models are released in multiple colorways, allowing the wearer to choose between subdued, organic tones or more “confrontational statement finishes.”
Manufactured entirely through digital production, each pair is printed on-demand using recyclable materials, “eliminating excess waste and traditional tooling,” the rep added.
“Created as a single continuous structure, the V. Mule blurs the line between footwear, wearable art and industrial design. This shoe isn’t about provocation for provocation’s sake. It’s about giving form to feelings people rarely talk about—desire, isolation, softness, and the need to emerge,” the rep said.
“People in our industry remember Rose in Good Faith for their famous upcycle dildo shoe a few years ago,” Kazumi explained. “So, I wrote to them and said, ‘How about a pussy shoe?’ I think it’s really funny people say it’s gone too far. Nobody had beef when it was a dildo shoe.
“This is a small step for feminism, and a big step for humankind,” she added.
Custom-molded after Kazumi’s vulva, the final V. Mule prototype was the third iteration of the project, after a version which had the anatomical part at the bottom of the shoe and another featuring boobs or butts, according to the rep.
“We wanted a happy medium between it being viral and funny but also something that someone into street fashion would actually wear out,” Kazumi noted. “They’re squishy, like other similar slides. If you wore the Rose in Good Faith upcycled dildo shoes, you’re gonna love how cozy and snug they are.”
Kazumi added she thinks the V. Mule is “the world’s first porn star shoe. It’s definitely my first collaboration with a shoe brand and I’m pretty sure it’s the first porn star branded streetwear-specific kind of thing.”
The V. Mule will be available in limited quantities across both models and select colorways.
