Adult performer Victoria Givens, Damaged Pictures and Porn Star Karaoke (PSK) have joined numerous others in adult in helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
PSK will return to Sardos Bar (259 North Pass Ave.) in Burbank for its 112th night today. Seymour Satin, Sardos' head honcho, and Wankus of KSEXradio.com have arranged for a portion of the proceeds to help the“animal” victims of the hurricane.
“We are going to take a portion of door charges and also have an open collection from the patrons tonight and donate the money to forms of life that don’t always take top priority in times of tragedy — the animals,” Wankus said. “We’re going to send whatever we collect to The Humane Society of the United States [www.hsus.org] which already has people in place in affected areas, saving animals, providing food and shelter and doing the best they can to provide them with needed medication and care.”
The HSUS has launched a massive relief effort to rescue animals and assist their caregivers in the disaster areas. Their highly trained Disaster Animal Response Teams are in Louisiana and Mississippi coordinating a multi-state animal rescue and recovery effort. In New Orleans, they have already rescued hundreds of animals in the hardest hit areas of both states since Friday.

Meanwhile in an effort to learn what victims need most, Givens has visited some survivors.
“I was on tour anyway, but decided to change the tour to visit hurricane survivors after watching some of the stories on the news,” Givens said.
She started in Atlanta. “I couldn't get into New Orleans so I went more north to some towns in Mississippi and Louisiana. Gas was in very short supply as thousands flooded the gas stations in the northern part of the states, filling up 55 gallon drums to carry back to survivors in the hardest hit areas.”
Then Givens went to Houston, where she spent a couple days donating supplies to survivors in the city’s hotels. “I couldn't get into the dome or the shelters but thousands are in the hotels. I've learned that some of the hotels are donating several floors as well as the Government picking up some other tabs."
She planned to next stop in San Antonio, Texas. “I've spent a lot of time just sitting and talking with a lot of people here. What I hear most is that we're not getting the half of it from the news.”
Damaged Pictures said Tuesday that it altered its shipping schedule due to high fuel and shipping costs.
"In light of the recent events taking place in the country, I sometimes feel it is my obligation as a dad to do something to help make a difference in the world," said Lewis Adams, VP of sales. "Due to high fuel and shipping costs, I decided not to ship my new titles Latin Motherfuckers 2 and Oral Intake 3 this week, instead holding them and shipping with Interacially Damaged 2. All three titles will be shipped accordingly and hit the street on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
"I know this might not seem like a big deal but it makes me feel like I’m doing something. If nothing else, I’m sure you don’t mind saving one shipping charge this week. ... By the way, if it doesn’t seem like I really sacrificed anything for this, please remember that I am not billing for one week. That might not sound like a big deal - but just imagine having a talk with your boss – The Pornographer - about not billing for a week just to save some gas."
Another adult site, Chestermolesther.com, said it would donate all its proceeds from new or renewed membersships within the next two weeks to the Red Cross relief fund.
