Not only is Kat Slater one of the few female directors working in the Adult industry, she’s also part of an even smaller pool of female directors who didn’t get their start in Adult as a performer.
Not that’s she’s afraid to have some carnal fun on camera, as she proves in Hustler’s new gonzo series, Cum Swappers.
Each scene in Cum Swappers, released today, is a three-way with two women and one guy — and Slater.
Slater participates in each scene, verbally and physically — grabbing onto to a hunk of flesh from either sex from time to time and turning each three-way into a four-way, a description she readily endorses.
“Exactly! It’s kind of, ‘Here’s my man and I’m going to watch him get off with some other girls, but I’m in charge,’ kind of thing. And I feel like me being there and lending a hand kind of gets them going more.”
In Cum Swappers, Slater breaks the fourth wall and plays with both the male and female talent, turning her gender into a rather obvious plus. As she notes, the advantage of being a female rather than a male gonzo director is easy to explain: “Number one, you can touch both [the man and the woman].”
Slater told AVN.com that after studying gonzo for the last two-and-a-half years, she understands the appeal of the genre. “I’ve been analyzing that whole thing, and the guys and how they do it, and I get it, because it’s kind of that feel of, ‘Here we are on a weekend, just hanging out’ — talk about your total voyeur,” she said.
“I figured as a woman who directs, you can’t beat it, because guys figure, the more girls the better!”
