LOS ANGELES - Grammy award-winning recording artist Kanye West (Jesus Walks; Gold Digger) is spitting mad props at AVN on his new interlude for the track The Game (featuring Chi-town rapper Common and DJ Premiere). Entitled Porno, the interlude has West lamenting his decision to come faulty on music producer Rick Rubin's invitation to attend the AVN award show in 2005.
West, who once admitted to having a porn addiction during a Playboy magazine interview, explains, "I was like, 'Man, I can't do it. I just made Jesus Walks. They gonna see me and then they gonna take away my NAACP award.' I really want to go to the AVNs, but I can't do it because they'll take me off the cover of Jet. Then what? I won't make it on the cover of Essence. But, one day, I'll be there. I'm gonna have one of them big hoodies zipped up with the eyes cut out. And, gloves with the fingers cut off so I can feel—so I can touch. You know, they let celebrities touch."
Producer DJ Premiere scratches on The Game. and is also mentioned in the Porno interlude. "Yo, when we made this joint, we was like we gotta get Premol to scratch on this shit," West freestyles. "That's one of my idols. He's a living legend in the game. Plus he likes porn a lot. So I relate to him with that. And, he's been to the AVNs. I been to the Grammys; he's been to the AVNs. I'm envious of him."
