Kanoodle Recasts Itself as Seevast, Adds Moniker.com

Sponsored Links company Kanoodle has announced that Seevast will be the parent company of the seven-year old site, overseeing three separate operating companies. In addition, the company has announced the acquisition of Moniker.com. Moniker, which specializes in domain sales and asset management, offers domain name registration and management, live domain auctions, escrow, appraisals, and domain traffic monetization services.

Kanoodle’s content-targeted, sponsored links business will become a self-standing operating company, to be branded Pulse 360. The Kanoodle brand will continue to be associated with search-targeted sponsored links, as it has been since 1999.

“As online marketing continues to change and expand, and domain names are now considered valuable assets, Seevast’s structure will allow our three operating units to have a sharper, tighter focus on enhancing services for our customers and give us a platform for future growth,” says Lance Podell, chief executive officer of Kanoodle. “While Moniker.com will continue to operate independently, this addition demonstrates our mission to operate innovative Web marketing businesses that drive sales, build brands, and increase the value of the core assets for our clients.”

Moniker.com will continue to operate as an independent business unit and Chief Executive Officer Monte Cahn and President Eric Harrington, the company’s founders, will remain with the company in their current roles. Seevast will provide additional resources to accelerate Moniker’s growth. With more than 1.5 million domain names under management, Moniker’s clients include the NHL, Major League Baseball, Lionsgate Films, Marchex, Jupiter Media, and Yahoo!.

“We are excited to become part of Seevast and are committed to delivering more of what our customers love us for today—superior customer service, security along with domain registration, acquisition, management, and monetization,” said Cahn. “Our dedication to defining and leading the emerging market of domain asset management is now supported by our partnership with a company that has the resources and experience to help us grow and innovate even faster.”

Pulse 360 will become the name for the existing content-targeted sponsored links business, previously a component of Kanoodle’s business. Pulse 360 will continue to offering an array of targeting methods aimed at reaching consumers via context, behavior, demographics, or location, rather than by search terms alone.

As Kanoodle has done for the past seven years, Pulse 360 will work with publishers of all sizes to help them better monetize their websites. The company will continue to build upon its current exclusive network of relationships, which includes MarketWatch.com and the sites of the Dow Jones Online Network, MSNBC.com, USATODAY.com, more than 30 sites of the CBS Television Stations Group, more than 75 CBS Radio sites, NASCAR.com, Autobytel.com, and thousands more.
