Julie Robbins Has Died

Adult performer Julie Robbins died late Thursday night after being involved in a car accident earlier that day in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was 26.

Robbins, also known as Brandy Koonts, lost control of her sport utility vehicle and struck a telephone pole causing the vehicle to burst into flames, according to a statement from a relative and a local newspaper report. She was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem with severe burns before passing away, the report said.

Robbins had performed in approximately 40 adult videos since 2003, including titles for Vivid, Wicked, Sin City, Pleasure, Zero Tolerance, and North Pole. Most of her on-camera work came in 2003 and 2004. Her most recent title was Sin City's Blonde Factory, released earlier this year.

The family has asked that any donations be made to Brenner Children Hospital, Medical Center Boulevard, Winston-Salem, NC 27157 in Koonts's name.

Koonts is survived by a 7-year-old daughter.
