CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Darkside Entertainment has made a distribution deal with Juicy Entertainment, according to Jerry Estrada, owner of Juicy and its affiliate Exquisite Multimedia.
"The way it's set up, it's like they're on their own," Estrada told AVN. "We're basically doing fulfillment for them, and [Juicy sales chief] Danny Gorman will be doing their sales."
Darkside has been without a distributor since the company opted out of its informal distribution agreement with Jules Jordan Video several weeks ago.
Juicy will be selling the whole Darkside catalogue and releasing two to four new titles a month, including Blu-rays. Darkside specializes in all-black product, with some interracial titles.
"When everyone else is backing up, we're branching out," said Gorman, who's about to release his fifth interracial movie, Black By Injection, on his own Dirty Laundry imprint.
Exquisite is releasing new volumes of two of their top-selling series. Teenage Brotha Lovers 12 and MILF Worship 6 ship this week, both in Blu-ray and standard formats.
