Jonni Darkko *Hearts* Chloe Amour for Star Showcase ‘Mon Amour’

This feature appears in the September issue of AVN magazine.

LOS ANGELES—When AVN Hall of Fame director Jonni Darkko’s skills are combined with a talent like Chloe Amour, the results can be unforgettable—the kind of fantasies that lodge in whatever part of your brain that responds to pure lust.

The latest showcase feature for Evil Angel from the veteran helmer is titled Mon Amour, featuring one of the hardest-working starlets of the year.

Like the gonzo legend that he is, Darkko understands job Number One is to showcase a sexual performer so the audience can see her through his intimate lens. So, when he turns the spotlight on a performer like Amour, those scenes often are destined to become top-shelf spank bank material, fueling fantasies for legions of fans.

“Her personality is really awesome, but like, when you turn the camera on, something switches with her,” Darkko told AVN. “You can tell—it's palpable. Like you can tell that something clicks with her and it's just, it's on, and she brings that kind of passion and vibe. So, you know, she's a true performer. She just comes alive. To me, that's always important and I feed off of that, as well.”

A showcase opportunity for Evil Angel requires any performer to bring their A-game and grab the audience by the eyeballs.

“In all of my scenes, I try to be as organic and authentic as possible,” Amour told AVN. “I genuinely do enjoy dirty talking, getting messy, being choked, my hair pulled and pushing the boundaries in my scenes. I’m known for my dirty talking, sloppy blowjobs and anal gapes, too. It’s pretty cool, when people look at me and then they see these scenes of me, and they can’t believe someone like me can be doing these types of things. So, I just feel like a superstar.”

The 2025 XRCO Unsung Siren award recipient has been regularly dropping scenes for a full roster of studios and streamers, since she returned from a five-year hiatus in 2023. In April, she appeared in a threesome scene for the eponymous Darkko TV (with the director and Milan Ponjevic), while also promoting her OnlyFans page with a controversial billboard located in Los Angeles, near Beverly Hills.

“Doing just OnlyFans or shooting content for clip sites isn’t enough for me,” she said. “I never officially retired or expected to be on as long of a hiatus as I was. I missed being a part of the community. I missed being on set and shooting mainstream XXX. I love being on set. There were still a lot of types of content that I wanted to shoot, people I wanted to work with and directors/companies I wanted to work for. I knew I just had to come back. When I returned, I felt like I needed to make up for lost time. I wanted to challenge myself and surprise myself. Since I’ve been back, there are a lot of firsts that I’ve done and I’m happy with my decisions. I feel very welcomed, and I am still continuing to learn more about myself.

“Since I’m older now, I have returned with a different mindset. When I first got into porn, I was recruited and had no plan. When I decided to come back, I knew there were certain things that I wanted to do and accomplish. If I were to completely leave porn, I wanna go out with a bang and announce it. I still have a lot more to give and I’m not ready to retire just yet,” Amour added.

There is something compelling about the raven-haired starlet, whose fine features and dark eyes give off a Mona Lisa-like vibe. Her petite, natural frame looks luxurious wrapped up in lingerie for the box cover and during the tease sequences, which often lead off a Darkko scene. They decided to do a purple aesthetic for Mon Amour—her favorite color and a shade that compliments her sultry style.

“We had a lot of discussions about what types of scenes we were going to showcase, who we were going to cast and, yes, what I would be wearing,” Amour said. “We wanted to keep everything on theme. All of my hair, makeup and wardrobe has been beautiful and sexy. All of my cast mates are strong and we all have synchronicity. Everyone knows how important and special this showcase is to me and Darkko. We wanted everything to be seamless and produce high-quality content, all while having fun creating this.”

“I love having that serendipity with talent to work with them so it's not just a my vision kind of thing,” Darkko added. “We discussed wardrobe, look, feel, vibe, you know. With Chloe, I wanted to go a little bit more. Her favorite color is purple so we really fell down the purple rabbit hole with the production. If you see the trailer, it's got a lot of purple in it. We just, we're kind of ran the purple gamut, that's our favorite color. So, like, you do things that are unique to the girl.”

They also decided to include some career firsts for Amour which are likely to blow the roof off for hardcore gonzo lovers. Specifically, the starlet performs an airtight, a gangbang and a double anal penetration, checking those experiences off of her sexual bucket list. As an added bonus, fellow gonzo queen Jennifer White joins Amour for a scene, as a tag-team partner.

Darkko said that Amour was a little apprehensive about the DAP with Rob Piper and Richard Mann.

“She'd never done it before and she was very trepidatious about it,” he explained. “She didn't think she could handle it. She thought it'd be too much—and she actually sailed through it like a champ.

“I told her, I'm like, you're gonna have no problem doing this. I've shot her enough to know—and I've done enough double anals to know what to expect and what the guys do, and how it works, all the logistics of actually putting it together—and I'm like, ‘You're gonna do fine.’

“Then by the end of it, she's like, ‘Yeah, that was nothing.’ I'm like, ‘Exactly,’ You know, some people go into it a little bit of fearful. Like gangbangs—a lot of girls don't know you just have to relax and have fun. The guys are doing 90 percent of the work, so, just relax and have fun,” he said.

With the production wrapped, Amour said she’s pleased with the scenes. “Well, a gangbang has always been on my bucket list. So, it’s amazing to know that I finally got to fulfill that fantasy. It was so much fun. I guess now the challenge is adding more to the number of guys, for the next gangbang.”

She also confirmed what Darkko had revealed. “I surprised myself with the DAP. I never thought I would be ready to do a DAP and I know my fans are going to be thrilled. I would say the DAP stands out most for me because the sensation and feeling of that is unreal. It’s hard to describe, and you can definitely see in the scene how organic I am when I experience this for the first time. They all told me, I took it like a champ.”

“I think that people don't realize,” the director explained. ”They watch the finished product and it's stimulating, it's hot and they like it, but I don't think they realize there is like kind of a whole thing that you have to go through to orchestrate a scene like that.

“Like it's a matter of positioning and getting the camera in there and having the right guys who know what they're doing, so no one gets hurt. Everyone respects each other's boundaries, which is very important.”

He avoids strange stunts for the sake of shock value or following content trends, which Darkko said produce mediocre results. He avoids boy/girl scenes and opts for group scenes, which his audience finds hotter. His showcase features have been among his most pioneering work.

“I really just key in on what I think works. Like I don't try to reinvent any wheels with like, oh, ‘Let's do you upside down with this and that and...’ Half of that stuff doesn't work and it comes off shitty.

“There's so many variables, there's so many independent variables flying around at any given time. One person's ass goes one direction, one goes the other. You gotta be able to work with people and know what makes them feel good, what makes them happy, and then expand on it—so, it comes together as something.”

After doing it for 25 years to continued success, Darkko feels like the formula works. “I just know what my thing is. I just stuck to what I do... I've evolved in different ways, but I just stick to what I do.”
