Industry veteran Joey Strange has been signed as sales manager for Freedom Distributing, according to co-owner Paul Interlandi.
Strange is best known as an extreme performance artist, specializing in body suspension. He has been featured twice on the TV show Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
In adult, he first worked for Jeff Stryker before signing on with VCX, which he calls “my real entrance into the adult arena.” He credits VCX’s late, legendary Harry Young as his mentor.

He has also worked for Fallen Angel and Sacred Pools, and his resume includes a stint as warehouse manager with Adult Video News.
Strange is also a double AVN Award-winner for Best Specialty Tape – Other Genre and Best Music of 1998, for Strange Life: The Breech, a piercing video.
Freedom’s product line, Strange told AVN.com, includes Interlandi’s Real Deal Amateurs, a softcore series of Lifestyles Convention tapes, and the entire Moonlight Video catalogue. “We’re moving two Moonlight titles to DVD monthly,” he said. “We’ve got 25 there now.”
They also carry titles by Rex Ryder, Interlandi’s partner in Freedom.
