Maverick Manhattan porn director Joe Gallant joins the mainstream this week with the release of Contract Girl from LFP Video Group’s VCA Pictures.
It’s the first collaboration of the New York-based director’s Black Mirror Productions with a major Los Angeles adult distributor.
“I love Joe Gallant’s work and want everyone to see it,” said LFP Creative Director Kat Slater. “Contract Girl mixes a quirky B-movie aesthetic with cutting-edge gonzo sex.”
Gallant’s deal with VCA is for them to release six Black Mirror movies a year.

has been described as “a tense XX thriller” dealing with “power, redemption, betrayal and porn star assassins.
It stars Olivia Saint as Girl X, a sexy contract killer with a political as well as sexual agenda. The other girls in the cast are New York area amateurs.
Gallant shot much of it on the streets of Manhattan during last year’s Republican National Convention. His goal with Black Mirror, he said, is “to evoke the grittiness and intensity and honesty of '70s NYC filmmaking.”
“Porn is the new punk,” he continued, “the last place where a person can work out their subversive ideas and still reach an audience directly.”
Contract Girl got a 4-A review in AVN’s May 2005 edition, with pre-noms for Best Video Feature and Best Actress, Video.
