Jim Powers Takes a Vacation in ‘The Fucket List’ for Mommy’s Boy

This feature appears in the March 2025 issue of AVN magazine.

LOS ANGELES—Jim Powers’ new release for Adult Time’s Mommy’s Boy line is a fun all-in-the-faux-family comedy romp titled The Fucket List. The vacation-themed feature stars Elias Cash, Axel Haze, Mighty Dee, Gogo Fukme, Rachael Cavalli, Sadie Summers, River Lynn, and Daniel Shar.

With a sizable 45-page script, the narrative begins with a classic spring break-ish scenario, when two families book a short-term vacation rental for a two-week getaway. The setting is laid out with an oblivious, workaholic dad (played by adult-friendly comedian Shar in a non-sex role), a lesbian step-mom, a vibrating butt plug, a pizza delivery girl, and sex in a pop-up tent. Mischievous hijinks ensue when the three teenage boys (Cash, Haze, and Dee) get bored and concoct a list of dares.

“The three guys make up a bucket list, you know, like a bucket list where they’re gonna bang everybody—you know, all the moms/stepmoms,” director Powers told AVN. “The acting was mostly carried by three young male talents who played 18-year-olds. A lot of that dialogue was carried by three really brand new [performers] to the industry, so, there was a lot of work there and they pulled it off, which is really good.”

“It was three days of shooting. We ran two cameras, with David Lord and myself,” Powers described. “One of the scenes, where the one [guy] who gets caught with the bucket list has to bang all three stepmoms—you know, he got three MILFs to bang. It was funny. You’ve got non-sex roles, like we had River Lynn show up being the pizza girl who delivers the pizza. Who knows? I could go into a spinoff, ‘The Tale of the Pizza Girl.’”

Powers is, perhaps, perfect to helm the zany feature. He could direct just about anything in adult and already has, with a career that started as a performer in 1992, when production was for DVD and more script-driven. A rather notorious stint at JM Productions in the early-’00s, when the controversial studio was prosecuted for obscenity for bukkake videos, had him embroiled in the heyday of gonzo content. In fact, in 2005, when Powers was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame, one of his lead actors in The Fucket List was still a newborn.

“Crazy shit that was going on in that era, you know? I mean, heck, we had a line called Triple Penetration Debutante Sluts, you know?” he reminisced. He added that while the industry has changed a lot, the more it changes, the more it stays the same. That philosophy was surprisingly illustrated with the last-minute substitution of Summers into the Fucket List cast.

“She came and saved the day because we had our main star girl, who canceled the morning of a three-day fucking shoot—canceled on the morning of the shoot—so, we were scouring and she was free all three days,” he said. “We just got lucky as fuck. She saved the shoot.”

It turned out that Summers, who had been referred by the production manager, also brought a moment of déjà vu for the director. “He [had said], ‘Jim, this girl you need to shoot because she also produces other stuff and she says that she knows you from the old days.’ I go, ‘What’s her name?’ It was Tobi Pacific when she was 19. I used to shoot her back in ’05 or something!”

While Powers credited his up-and-coming male talent with pulling off the wieldy script, he said that the focus is, as ever, on the female leads and hardcore scenes.

“GoGo and Rach are great, you know. Those two are pros, good at dialogue, good at, you know, sex. They’re great. We got really lucky, really lucky. I use a new guy, Axel Haze—young guy, kicks ass, he’s good. Elias Cash has turned into a hell of a performer. And a new [guy], Mighty Dee. Mighty did great, you know. It was a fun shoot.”

One can’t help but wonder if Powers, the pioneering porner with three decades under his belt, isn’t living his own endless summer, where all the moms are fuckable and dudes just wanna have fun.

“I think, ‘Look at what I do.’ I go, ‘Shit, I could be asking if you want French fries with your order.’ So, hell yeah, I’m loving this,” Powers laughed. “I mean look. Porn is like being in 13th grade. I never left high school. I never wanted to leave high school when I was in high school. I never wanted to leave college. It’s like porn is like forever being in 13th grade. It really is. So, it’s a good thing. You know, you wanna hang on to something, or some sort of youth, or whatever—it’s like being Peter Pan.”
