Jenna Haze: 'I'm a free agent'

Jenna Haze, the AVN Best New Starlet of 2003, is ready to perform on a freelance basis for the first time in three years.

The former Jill Kelly Productions exclusive told AVN.com her contract has expired and she is no longer affiliated with the company.

“I’m really excited,” she said in an interview from Baltimore, where she was featuring at a Hustler Club over the weekend. “I’m a free agent and I want to see what’s out there and see what other people have to offer.

“When I get back in town, I’m going to be returning phone calls and getting my name out there again.”

Haze added, “I haven’t shot anything for JKP in a long time. I have been dancing my butt off. I want to make some really good porn. I’ve been putting out crap for three years.”

The popular star that has been performing only in girl/girl scenes for the past three years said she would continue to do girl/girl and “see what happens.”

“Girls can’t just do other girls forever,” she said coyly. “I’m excited. I found out Jill left {on Wednesday}, and as soon as I found that out, that sealed it for me. I don’t want to be with the company if Jill is not there.”

She said she remains good friends with Kelly.

“I’ll always love Jill. That’s why I joined the company in the first place. I was infatuated with her,” Haze said. “… I’m glad to be free of it now. My contract expired in April and they never renewed it.

“I want to do a lot of really hot g/g stuff and really good gonzo. And I want to focus on directing and possibly do boy/girl.”

Haze said she would be eyeing scenes with Digital Playground, Wicked, Vivid, where her “ex-girlfriend” Monique Alexander is under contract, Jules Jordan, Defiance Films and Zero Tolerance, among other companies.

“I’m really interested in spreading my wings. I was so bored,” she said. “No more of this soft crap.”

Haze said that she did not receive any residuals from her videos despite that being part of her contract.

“All I know is I never got any residuals,” she said. “I was supposed to. I got a couple residuals from my toy deal.”

She was paid $400 from her toy deal during the length of her contract, Haze said.

“They sold my toys all over the place, so why am I not making any money on it? I don’t know," Haze continued. "I'm glad to jump the sinking ship.”

She said the last time she saw former JKP CEO Bob Friedland was about a month ago in the office.

“I gave him a hug,” Haze said.

She added that she has a "crush" on newcomer Julia Bond. “She’s gorgeous.”

“... I’m so excited I can barely contain it.”
