Jenna Jameson will get free booth space for her Adult Industry Assistance Fund at Adultcon 6, May 16 at the Marriott in Woodland Hills.
"Adultcon is providing AIAF with free booth space... as a convenient place for any talent that may want to donate money they make from autographs, signed photos or other promotional activities at Adultcon 6," said show organizer Renaud West.
Jameson and her husband, Jay Grdina, set up the AIAF - to which ClubJenna.com contributed substantially - to help adult actors and actresses not working because of precautionary measures in the wake of the HIV crisis that hit the adult industry earlier this year.
"We welcome the Adultcon participation in helping raise money for people who are in dire financial straits because they have been quarantined themselves, or have lost their jobs because productions they were working on have been shut down," Grdina said.
Jameson has called for even tighter self-regulation of the industry to stop HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases among performers.
"The fact is that the adult industry as a whole has been remarkably free of STDs and HIV, considering that sex is what we do for a living," she said. "We must do even more to prevent it from taking root among performers. The incidence of HIV in the adult industry is far lower than in the population as a whole, and we need to adopt stricter restrictions for our industry to keep it that way. I think that any performer coming into the United States from abroad, including American nationals who have worked outside the country, should have a ?quarantine? period in which they must wait at least 60 days before beginning work again in the adult industry."
Adultcon 6 will run from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, May 16.
