Veteran director Jake Malone today signed a distribution deal with Evil Angel Productions for his new production company.
Malone, who left Red Light District Monday, will now direct and produce for his own Jake Malone Productions, with distribution handled through Evil Angel.
“Jake Malone is the most underrated director in porn today,” said Evil Angel owner John Stagliano.
“I’m really happy to have (director) Manuel Ferrara and Jake back together. They have done incredible work for each other. Jake uses props, wardrobe, personality and rough sex as well as anyone I’ve seen.”
Malone said he is looking forward to working with Stagliano and his staff on his first video set to begin shooting July 9, starring Mia Rose, Sasha Grey and other starlets.
“I’ve always wanted to be at Evil Angel. Ownership of the product is a really great thing. Also, I know that they care about the directors and the quality of the product,” Malone said.
“I love all the people at Red Light, I had some great experiences shooting there and I'll always be friends with all the people that work there. I just felt it was time to try to take control of my destiny and my brand, Jake Malone Productions, and owning my own product at Evil Angel gives me the opportunity to do that.”
Malone, who joined Red Light in 2002, left the company briefly in January for Evil Angel, but returned two weeks later. But on Monday, Malone, who still had a year left on his contract, left the company for good.
He joins fellow Evil Angel directors Stagliano, John Leslie, Christoph Clark, Manuel Ferrara, Joey Silvera, Belladonna, Erik Everhard, Jonni Darkko, Justin Slayer, Nacho Vidal and Harmony. Malone had directed a number of Red Light’s top gonzo lines including Fuck Dolls, Cum Fart Cocktails, Dirt Pipe Milkshakes and several others.
