Ivan Serves as Director of Photography for Horror Short

LOS ANGELES—AVN Award-winning adult and horror director Ivan/Slava Siderman announces that he handled Director of Photography duties for upcoming mainstream short Becoming of Age.

The horror-thriller, about a young man taken in by his aunt and uncle after the murder of his parents—who may have inherited the same terrible traits his older brother possesses—brings Ivan back together with his frequent moviemaking partner John Gonzales, who wrote and directed the short.

“Once again John and I are reuniting to make gory magic; I think we are pretty close to a dozen projects together now, and it never gets old—it just gets more exciting for our way older eyes and bones,” said Ivan of the duo’s collaborations, which include Y2K: Shut Down Detected and Roadside Killer—distributed through El Cinema and Troma Entertainment, respectively—both of which have received numerous international awards and festival showings.

“We had a major studio filmmaker on our crew who specifically expressed how we work as a tight two-man filmmaking machine," Ivan added. "It’s really 25 years of working together on something we love and cherish and it always shows in our work. I cannot wait to share John’s vision through my lighting and lens.”
