As always, the parties accompanying this year’s January Internext Expo revealed adult entrepreneurs know how to have a good time while they do business.
Running the gamut from mild to glam to wild, the après-show events began as soon as the show floor closed. Leading off the cavalcade was an Internext-sponsored happy hour that packed the area outside the show floor. Meanwhile, upstairs, NTS threw its traditional early-evening gathering, with a spread of shrimp and other edibles and, of course, complimentary drinks. John Maddox and David Wood hosted a casual, laid-back gathering for clients and friends, and it was a delightful way to conclude a long day on the show floor.
At the same time, in a trendy penthouse atop Mandalay Bay’s The Hotel, Epoch’s traditional cocktail mixer provided a cozy mélange of people, appetizers, and drinks. With an unparalleled view overlooking the dazzling expanse of the Vegas strip, the room grew wall-to-wall with people schmoozing about deals and the day’s events.
Maleflixxx’s early Cock and Tail Party packed quite a few people into the company’s modest two-room hospitality suite, including porn stars Francesco D’Macho (Hot House Entertainment) and Benjamin Bradley (Rascal Video). Hors d’oeuvres and complimentary drinks helped attendees celebrate Maleflixxx’s recent fifth anniversary. Although it was to have ended at 8:30 p.m., the party lasted well over an hour longer than intended.
Cybersocket’s Gay Webmaster Party, hosted at the Piranha nightclub and featuring go-go boys, finger foods, and great music, lasted well into the night, giving webmasters a chance to take off their business faces and kick up their heels on the dance floor. The party was sponsored by Epoch (presenting sponsor), Adult Webmaster Empire (diamond sponsor), platinum sponsors Video Secrets, NakedDollars, and Hot Desert Knights, and gold sponsors GayWebmasters.com, GAYVN, YouLoveJack, GayHotMovies, Fleshlight, DirtyBoyVideo, Badpuppy, GayGreenbacks, and Commerce Gate.
Later in the evening, AdultSpace’s launch party took place at the Sapphire Gentleman’s Club. The shindig was punctuated by incredibly hot strippers mingling with Internext attendees. A DJ mixed, while girls and guys grooved on the dance floor. The melding of the flashing lights, music, and beautiful women was intoxicating.
One of the most talked about events of the evening, as always, was The Players Ball. The first of two shows presented by D-Money at Empire, Monday night’s incarnation featured hip-hop artist Too Short. We won’t swear to it, but it seemed like every Internext attendee was there, and all of them reveled in the chance to show off their best pimp-and-ho wear while taking in some live music.
