Internet Key Inc., a long-term player in the AVS/AEN space through its SexKey program, announced the appointment of Adam Winters as its new vice president of marketing.
Winters will oversee all strategic marketing initiatives, including the launch of a new affiliate program for an unlimited movie download site. The company has the exclusive marketing rights to Screw.com, which features real-time streaming of DVD-quality, full-length adult movies. Screw.com offers multiple downloadable movie formats to a computer, iPod, PSP, and other hand-held devices.
Affiliate site ScrewBucks.com will launch within a few weeks, and the company currently is working on a variety of tools that will aid webmasters in marketing their site.
Winters’ duties include market development and analysis, as well as increasing brand visibility aimed at reaching into the company’s existing and emerging markets.
“Throughout his career, Adam has demonstrated measurable success in developing strategic online marketing initiatives to drive business growth. We are confident he will have the same impact at Internet Key,” says Hank Freeman, the company’s president. “Adam brings valuable experience in the affiliate and e-commerce markets to our organization, and we look forward to having him work with us to further enhance our market position.”
Prior to joining Internet Key, Winters served as senior product manager of online services at Venture Direct Worldwide Inc., a direct-marketing firm based in New York City. Previously, Winters held a position for several years as vice president of sales and operations at Effex Media, a leading provider of adult shopping affiliate programs. Cumulatively, Winters has more than 13 years’ experience in online and traditional marketing, and earned a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University.
“Internet Key is exceptionally well positioned to leverage the extensive affiliate network they have established over the past 10 years,” says Winters. “The opportunity for increasing our footprint in the market with the launch of ScrewBucks, Screw.com’s affiliate program, is tremendous. We have nearly completed what we believe to be a best-of-breed solution for affiliates and will provide a comprehensive suite of promotional tools, as well.”
Winters also believes there is still untapped revenue to be made in the AVS/AEN market.
“Although many webmasters are under the false impression that this model is dead, we are still generating several hundred sign-ups per day, and it converts at one in 75. Believe it,” says Winters.
Winters is confident that the company is set to reach unlimited goals with the current team players that it comprises.
“In addition to the vital role played by Hank Freeman, we have a very strong and talented technical staff, a [chief operating officer] whose background includes an extensive history in merchant accounts, and a great VP of sales, Craig Tant,” says Winters.
