Five Northern California men have been indicted by federal grand juries as part of a yearlong FBI investigation into child porn that also included arrests in Greece, Norway and Spain, according to an online report.
The indictments are related to the arrest of a Michigan man suspected of creating child porn websites out of his home, advertising the sites on the Internet and soliciting clients, San Jose Chronicle.com reported. The suspect, Edward Aaron Harvey, 35, of Canton, Mich., was indicted June 15 and is in custody, the U.S. attorney's office in San Francisco said in a statement.
The five Northern California men were indicted on suspicion of subscribing to Harvey's websites. They are Robert Charles Arthur Painter, 23, of San Jose; Kevin Ing, 24, of San Jose; Gavin Dru Brown, 30, of Monterey; Greg Pennington, 30, of Sunnyvale; and Robert Citron, 32, of Walnut Creek.
The five men, who were all arrested June 27, have been released after posting bail.
Nine others, including some overseas, have been charged in connection with the investigation, according to the report.
