Image Entertainment, Inc. has announced that Being Ron Jeremy, an independent comedy from comedian/filmmaker Brian Berke that stars Ron Jeremy, will be released on Tuesday.
Jeremy and Mia Crowe will be signing the DVD at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Virgin Megastore Union Square in New York.
Image Entertainment is a leading licensee and distributor of DVD programming. Berke (WB’s “Gilmore Girls”) also stars as Brian Pickles, a down-and-out comedian longing for a beautiful, adult video store clerk (Crowe of Fox Searchlight “The Untitled Onion Movie,” TNN’s “Pop Across America”). One day he stumbles upon a portal that propels him into the body of Jeremy, wreaking havoc on his career and triggering a series of comic misadventures. TV favorite Andy Dick also stars.
Crowe has three movies coming out in 2005. Screened to great response at the popular Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Being Ron Jeremy marks Berke’s first feature. The film also features cameos from several adult stars including Teri Weigel, Kendra Jade, Mary Carey, Gauge, Alexandra Nice, Kira Eggers, Jacklyn Lick, Monique Dane and Kelly Fire Steele.
In addition to the feature film, the DVD also features special features including “Ron Jeremy Live!” a look at his comedic stand-up act and “Inside the Porn Actors Studio” a candid and hysterical Q&A with the star himself.
