Playgirl Names New Editor

Jill Sieracki has been promoted from managing editor to editor-in-chief of Playgirl magazine, the publication has announced. Sieracki will oversee the redesign of the creative and editorial content of the 31-year-old magazine, which continues to be a worldwide leader of adult entertainment for women. Her first issue will appear on newsstands July 12.

In addition to her editorial duties, Sieracki will write features for Playgirl TV, the first adult programming created specifically for women that can be seen on cable outlets nationwide. Before her tenure at Playgirl, Jill was an editorial assistant at Good Housekeeping where she wrote on a variety of topics. She began her career as a publicist at Hallmark/Tassone, an advertising agency in Pittsburgh.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Sieracki graduated with a B.S. in Journalism from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., where she was also a reporter for the college newspaper. She is a member of the Mensa Society, an organization that includes those scoring in the top 2 percent of the population on standard intelligence tests.
