The Los Angeles Times today published a feature about the adult entertainment industry penetration into the mainstream consciousness in a special "Culture" section about what the city of Los Angeles has contributed to the world.
In Times staff writer Claire Hoffman's story, titled "Sex and this city...er Valley, actually," she begins saying, "Pornography is as old as time. But Los Angeles is the place that turned smut into gold."
The article also explores the role of the Internet in the growth of adult entertainment into a multibillion-dollar juggernaut.
