Kick Ass Pictures today has released the 40th volume of Barefoot Confidential, the series that launched the company and the winner of five consecutive AVN awards.
Kick Ass said that before the first edition came out in 1998, the only foot fetish movies on the market were softcore.
“Working at AVN, I discovered something after I’d reviewed a number of these movies,” Kick Ass Pictures president Mark Kulkis recalled. “Women’s feet are very sexy. I had never really thought about it before then. But the movies I was watching were pretty lame. I thought I could do better. Better scenarios, better foot close-ups, and add some actual sex! I assumed there must be other perverts out there who thought the same way. Foot fetish is proven to be the most common and popular fetish throughout the world.”
Kulkis shot the first volume on a shoestring budget with himself as director, videographer, photographer and one-man crew. He helmed the first 10 volumes (under the name Mark Archer), then turned it over to Andre Madness and occasional guest directors. Then Kulkis, responding to viewer demand, resumed directing the line again with Volume 33.
