Director Venus Hottentot will screen her release, Afrodite Superstar, at the New School for Social Research (65 Fith Ave.) in New York City at 8 p.m., in conjunction with sociology instructor Terry Williams' Sex in the City series.
Afrodite Superstar is a romantic comedy about Afrodite, a naive debutante who makes a secret Clark Kent-style transformation into a sexy rapper. The feature is the debut release from Femme Chocolat, a new division of Candida Royalle's Femme Productions.
The screening will be followed by a Q and A with Royalle, Hottentott, Natasha Cortez and Simone Valentino.
