SISTAS, an organization dedicated to inner-city youth, has vowed to put an end to displays of adult magazines in Houston's downtown area, according to a recent report.
"It's nothing any child should see," community activist Victoria Williams told KVUE Texas.
With the support of some city hall members, the group is asking for local businesses to stop displaying what they call "degrading images."
"It's a bad influence on our neighborhoods, bad influence on our families and it's a bad influence on our kids," City Councilman Peter Brown told KVUE.
