This could be the end of a dramatic year for Screw publisher Al Goldstein. After a year of fighting with local authorities, Goldstein in the end it was financial difficulties that brought his publication to a halt - though he promises to be back as soon as he obtains a bridge loan.
According to the NewYork Post, Goldstein has been evicted from his office, had his cable TV show cancelled, missed his last two publication deadlines and has failed to pay his employees for the last two weeks.
A lawyer for Goldstein's landlord says that the publisher of the thirty-plus year-old skin mag has failed to pay rent for the last six or seven months.
