The girls kicked off the weekend with in-store signings at Austin's Dreamers and Adult Video Megaplexx, where they posed for pictures with hundreds of fans while promoting Girlfriends’ popular line of lesbian videos.
Then on Saturday night, the company hosted an Austin City Limits Music Festival party at the Beso Cantina. The crowd of 400-plus drank, danced and hung out with the Girlfriends crew in addition to getting free DVD giveaways and autographs from the girls.
"The girls killed it for us and the party was so much fun,” said Moose, director of sales for Girlfriends Films. “It was also great to hang with the employees of both Dreamers and Adult Video Megaplexx. They helped not only make the trip successful, but fun.”
Girlfriends has increased its marketing and promotional efforts this year with a series of events. The company hosted the Porn on the 4th of July bash for 1,000 people at Crobar in Chicago along with Digital Playground’s Jesse Jane. In May, the studio celebrated the release of its 100th movie at Vice in Hollywood.
Girlfriends Films executives indicated more events are on the way this year and in 2009.
