The adult industry has declared September as her month. And the company which made Ginger Lynn the first contract girl in adult film history is asking Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan to name September 7 as Ginger Lynn Day.
Vivid Films marketing director Brian Scott Gross sent Riordan a letter August 6, asking for the declaration to honour the release of Torn, produced by VCA.
Ginger Lynn was also the star of Ginger, the first Vivid Films adult release. "(She) was the first crossover adult star to do mainstream movies with the likes of Mark Hamill," Gross says. Her recent work has included a short film with the acclaimed European director Jonas Ackerland.
Vivid plans to promote Lynn's work over the past 14 years during September.
