The INTERACTIVE 2000 show for the adult Internet and audiotext industry is scheduled for an October 1-3 run at Miami's sumptuous Raddison Deauville Resort. Although that's still a couple of months away, the key to benefiting from the show is planning ahead.
And that means now!
As an adult site Webmaster, you should ask yourself what you hope to accomplish by attending the show. Are you looking for new content, to network with distributors, for special show discounts or seminars, etc.? In order to be better prepared, you should make an effort to read advance information on the show (www.ia2000.com). Contact the companies you do business with, and get on their mailing lists. Ask if they have anything special planned for the show (sales, presentations, parties, giveaways). You'll be far less stressed and will make much better use of your time if you know what you want going in.
Once you've determined what your goals are, list them in order of importance: Remember, the unexpected can always happen, and you may not be able to accomplish all you had hoped. By prioritizing your goals, should anything go wrong (sudden illness, missed flights, lost luggage, emergencies at home), you will likely have accomplished your primary tasks and won't have to worry so much if your lesser goals go unrealized.
Another way to maximize the return on time spent at the show is to plan your visits to the show floor. Who do you want to see and when? Where are the booths/seminars you want to visit, when should you visit them (seminars are, of course, scheduled), and what is the best route to take from booth to seminar to booth? A little time spent planning now will save a lot of time fighting traffic, crowds and fatigue later.
"AVN'S 17 years of experience with adult entertainment is sure to increase IA2000's value for attendees and exhibitors alike," says Darren Roberts, Show Advisor. "As the show continues to grow in both size and scope, new and seasoned Webmasters will find attending the show to be an indispensable part of their business plan."
