GayWatch Takes Aim at MySpace.com

The newly launched GayWatch.com one-ups the popular, and largely heterosexual, MySpace.com community. GayWatch.com caters to social networking for the homosexual and lesbian population.

GayWatch.com credits MySpace for starting the social-networking craze, but as GayWatch owner Luke Liakos said, "Gaywatch.com takes over where MySpace.com has shown some weakness."

Liakos explains that social networking is not new to the population he represents. "The gay community was a community long before Internet social networking came on the scene," Liakos remarked. "GayWatch.com simply provides the gay community with the strongest possible, free, unified social interface on the Web today."

Since its launch in April 2006, GayWatch has acquired more than 55,000 unique members.
