G4 Network Profiles Vivid-Alt

LOS ANGELES - Cable network G4TV recently spotlighted Vivid Entertainment offshoot, Vivid-Alt. The station followed Vivid-Alt head Eon McKai, as well as performers Dana DeArmond, Reagan Maddux and Daniel during production of McKai's upcoming feature The Doll Underground.

McKai told AVN that he feels the G4 piece turned out great. "It's the sort of thing that puts us out there with our customers," he said. "I want to get exposure with the type of people who are going to buy Vivid-Alt titles, and the G4 show really did that. With the G4 segment, the showcase at the Silver Lake Film Festival and the panel, we've really been getting out there in the public recently."

McKai was part of a Q & A panel at the Silver Lake Film Festival last month, along with veteran adult film star Nina Hartley, historian and critic Ira Levine, and AIM Health Care director Sharon Mitchell, Ph.D. Several Vivid-Alt titles were also featured in an "Alt Porn Showcase" at the festival.

According to McKai, The Doll Underground does not have a definite release date yet, but the company looks to unveil it in the near future. "[The anticipation] for it has really been growing, by word-of-mouth as well as on the internet."
