Mike Ross reports: "The three political actions committees that represent adult interests in the country have raised a combined $100,000. The NCA, which represents the Cabaret Industry in Congress and several states, has received over $9,000 since starting just 4 months ago. The NCA's budget year started August 1, 1999.
"The California Cabaret Association has received over $40,000 with a check received from Galardi Enterprises. The CCA's budget year started April 1, 1999.
"The Adult Entertainment Industry Education Fund, which represents the video industry has received over $30,000. The AEIEF's Budget year started Jan 1, 1999.
"Last week we received over $13,000 in "outstanding pledges" for one of the three programs, and we have another $45,000 outstanding. If you have an outstanding pledge, our would like to make one, please don't hesitate to contact us at (916) 456-7311. Exact figures will be released in Jan. when mandatory filing by the US Senate, Congress and CA's Secretary of State is required.
