Hardcore photographers Fulcrum Studio’s Ace Miguel has launched a message board for creative professionals working in Adult.
PornFotoBiz.com features technical, legal, resource, critique, for sale, and open discussion sections. Miguel said the main goal of the venture is community interaction and sharing of knowledge.
“Mainstream creatives have AIGA, ASMP, APA, and other professional organizations. It’s not likely, no matter how skillful any of us are at our craft, that we would be taken into the fold. We wouldn’t be able to serve on the board of directors or freely collaborate if we announced we were in porn to anyone at these groups,” Miguel said.
“So I decided my first step in giving back to Adult was to create an open forum for discussion, learning and collaboration that can elevate our profession as a whole and not just one individual.”
PornFotoBiz.com is powered by vBulletin Version 3 and incorporates advanced search, private messaging, calendar, and multiple view tools.
The not-for-profit site is currently looking for forum moderators and administrators.
“We creatives are motivated by compliments and appreciation for our work – something never seen on a ledger on in a bank statement,” Miguel said. “For the people driven by the heart, like us, what an awesome opportunity to get involved now, at the start, and contribute to the growth of our profession and create a lasting tangible, a gift to future peers.”
