Free Speech Coalition Executive Director, Michelle Freridge, said Thursday that the organization is "thrilled" with its new alliance with The Raben Group, a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm.
“We especially look forward to working with them to develop bipartisan relationships with congressional legislators and staff, and to enhance our alliance with the many like-minded free speech groups that share our goals and concerns," Freridge said. "The Raben Group will without a doubt be an invaluable contributor as we continue to expand our membership base and influence throughout the country.”
The Raben Group will represent the political interests of its members and the adult entertainment industry within the nation’s capitol and beyond, replacing its previous D.C.-based lobbyist, Aubrey King.
The Raben Group (www.rabengroup.com) is a diverse group of experienced and resourceful individuals led by Robert Raben. His career in Washington includes experience as Counsel to Congressman Barney Frank, Democratic Counsel for the Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Courts and Intellectual Property, and confirmation by the Senate to be assistant attorney general under Janet Reno.
“The Raben Group brings a strong background in the policy areas of concern to us, notably civil rights, as well as top-level connections within the government,” noted Kat Sunlove, legislative affairs director for the trade group. "They have hit the ground running, and seem genuinely excited about representing our interests in Congress and before regulatory agencies in Washington, DC.”
