LOS ANGELES—New performer Ophelia Fae seems well-thought out and organized. Like a surprising number of newcomers, she’d been thinking about an adult career for a while, when things suddenly fell into place.
“So, I had always been fascinated by the adult industry. I’ve been really passionate about sex positivity and really fascinated by human sexuality forever. And I’m an artist, and I’m also really interested in health and wellness, and fitness. So, it was the sort of a perfect blend of all of my passions,” Fae told AVN. “But it’s not supposed to be a person’s dream job conventionally, so, I kind of pushed it to the side. I went to college. I worked corporate, ages 18 to 24.”
Which brought Fae to late 2024 when, after leaving her corporate sales job, she wasn’t quite sure what to do with herself.
“I was on LinkedIn sort of figuring out what my next step would be. I had already had some pictures through more traditional modeling, like artsy, sort of like topless type stuff,” Fae explained. “And I was floating, just selling those and OnlyFans as a side hustle. I made a new Instagram account and started posting some Reels on there.
“Three days after that, I got scouted by Kiss Cam Tony [DGAF Network], who’s a photographer/director with XSweet and Holly Randall’s [collaborator]. So, they found me and I was familiar with Holly. I’d listened to her podcast and I knew that, okay, I’m getting this opportunity and it’s something that I’ve wanted to do deep down forever. And you can’t get a more legit first dive into the industry, than being on the ground level of a platform with someone so important in the industry. So, I took that as a sign that I was like, okay, I need to dive headfirst into this.
“So, I shot with them. I reached out to Zen Models and signed with them. And then, yeah, I shot my first scene on Valentine’s Day,” Fae explained. In the scene for ExCogi Girls, she’s paired with agency-mate Amber Moore.
“She’s bi. So, we had two women that genuinely like women, and it showed. There was a lot of chemistry there. Amber’s amazing,” she said. Fae, who is a self-assured lesbian, looks forward to performing solo and in lots of girl/girl scenes and collabs.
She explained that, for her, “I think that it’s a lot easier to do gay-for-pay than straight-for-pay and convincingly pull it off. Also, one of my goals for the industry is to be really authentic representation for my community.”
“Because obviously, there are many different forms that queerness can take, and there’s no right or wrong way to go into the industry. I think that, as a lesbian, it can be alienating when there’s no one who’s exclusively with women, or there are very few people that are exclusively with women, and very few people that are unambiguously lesbian—and so, I want to be someone that’s really visible in that way.
“So far, it hasn’t seemed to make any guys feel pushed away by the stuff that I’m filming. They seem to be fine with it. So, they’ll be around either way, I’d like to think,” Fae added. “By being authentic in that way, and true to myself in that way, I think that could potentially mean a lot to people, if things go the way that I’d like them to with my career.”
She thinks Kira Noir is beautiful and would love to work with her one day. Fae would also like to work with Adult Time’s multi-awarded director Bree Mills. “I think that just by doing projects that I’m genuinely passionate about, that makes a difference.”
