Free Speech Coalition Communications Director Tom Hymes will speak on a seminar panel during the upcoming Sex in Video Games Conference, scheduled for June 8-9 at The Lodge at Union Square at the Kensington Park Hotel.
The inaugural Sex in Video Games Conference is organized by Evergreen Events, and will focus on the design, development, and technology of sex in videogames, with additional spotlights on issues regarding business matchmaking and networking.
Hymes will sit on the “Morals & Ethics & Sex & Games” panel, scheduled for Friday, June 9, at 3:15 p.m. It is one of about a dozen seminars addressing the business and cultural issues surrounding the controversial subject. Other seminars on the schedule include “Pleasing the Player: What Emergent Sex Can Teach Developers,” “Sex, Law and the First Amendment,” and “Integrating the Adult & Game Markets.”
“Evergreen Events is to be commended for providing this exceptional opportunity to explore a hot subject: sex in videogames,” Hymes says. “I am truly honored to be able to participate in an event that is attracting so many great people and so much well-deserved attention.”
Suzanne Freyjadis-Chuberka, president of Evergreen Events, says, “Evergreen Events is excited to be holding the first annual Sex in Video Games Conference, which will help to integrate the games business and the adult entertainment industry in an effort to create even better adults-only games. The panels for this event are intended to cover a wide variety of topics that are important to the business of sex in games. Through discussions that vary from how to sell games, design issues, as well as legal matters, this conference will give the attendees a handbook on the adult games business.”
