Due to an overwhelming flood of membership inquiries the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has opened a call center.
In light of yesterday’s deal, struck between the FSC and the U.S. Department of Justice to put off inspections and prosecutions of FSC members under 18 U.S.C. §2257 regulations until 30 days after the organization’s preliminary injunction hearing – scheduled for August 8 and 9 – or a decision is reached on the injunction, the FSC has received a response for new members that they and their phones weren’t prepared for.
“We’ve been inundated with calls, faxes and emails, so much so that we’ve set up a call center,” FSC communications director Tom Hymes told AVNOnline.com.
Potential members, who have until 2 p.m. Pacific time on June 25 to join the organization and be protected under the deal, can call 800-681-0403.
The call center lines, unlike the FSC office lines, will not be busy. However, because of the shear number of requests, the FSC cannot return confirmation calls or emails immediately. New members will be sent their membership materials through the mail.
Also, to have all of their companies protected under the agreement, members are being asked to send all of their DBA documents to [email protected].
New members are also being accepted by fax: 818-701-6630 or 818-886-5914.
