After a national search, the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has announced the hiring of its first federal lobbyist, Aubrey C. King.
King, described by the FSC as “skilled and tenacious,” is a Certified Association Executive and a John Hopkins University Master of Political Science and Economics.
He brings strong a strong record of professional achievement in government and public affairs to the position, and more than a decade of lobbying and coalition building experience in Washington D.C. He is well known and respected in the Washington DC government affairs and trade association communities, and among top national government officials. Prior to lobbying, King led several national trade associations for 18 years.
During the first months of 2005, FSC has initiated subtle lobbying activities in Washington D.C. in an effort to act as a watchdog for the industry. FSC said it plans to continue with this low-key approach to federal lobbying.
“By having ears, eyes, and a good brain in D.C.,” the FSC will be able to analyze, communicate and counter the activities of pro-censorship groups at the national level.
The Free Speech Coalition is the trade organization of the adult entertainment industry. Its mission is to safeguard the industry from oppressive governmental regulation and to promote good business practices within the industry.
